BOOK REVIEW: Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan

– BUY Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan

6+ BEAUTIFUL ARCHER STARS

What’s the story about?

When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.

Archer’s Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

What did I think?

I’m not quite sure where to begin with this one. I might start with the fact that this book is absolutely incredible!

I want to write a long review like I normally would do, but that would mean I’d have to tell you little things that happen in the book that I loved and try convince you to read it, and this is a story that you really need to just experience for yourself. I don’t want to tell you something small and say “this was so amazing”, because it’s all apart of this incredible journey. But let me put it this way, Archer’s Voice is one of the most incredible books I have ever read. It’s up there right along side Fighting Redemption by Kate McCarthyand if you know how much I love that book, you will understand my love for Archer’s Voice.

The one thing I will talk about though, is Archer.

Archer Hale.

Archer, Archer, Archer…

sigh

Archer Hale has completely changed me. I’m experiencing a serious book hangover at the moment. The absolutely devastating life Archer has had and the journey he went on throughout this entire story to get to where he is now, was nothing short of inspiring. Mia Sheridan is brilliant. She has written one of the most incredible stories I will probably ever come across. Archer is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever had the privilege of reading about, and I will be thanking Mia for eternity for bring him into my life. With every single page turned, I just wanted to hold him and tell him that everything will be ok because, you see, Archer doesn’t talk, and for his entire life he has sheltered himself from everything and everyone. He is lonely, he is broken, until Bree.

I would sit here and type up quotes for you but I would honestly just be writing out the entire book all over again, but I do want to share one quote with you:

You can’t hear me… I can’t help that. He looked down for a second and then back up to me. But I want you to see me

I mean it when I say that Archer Hale has stolen my heart. He has made me see the world in a more beautiful way. He has inspired me, he has encouraged me, and he has made me smile like no other hero has, and he really is just that. A hero, but not in the way most of them are. He is unique, he is special and he is someone I will introduce to my daughter one day, when the time is right, because he is a true hero (and shares the same birthday as my daughter 😉 )

And just as Bree said in the book:

“my wonderful healer, my beautiful Archer”

And I thank you Mia Sheridan, from the bottom of my heart, for giving us the incredible story, Archer’s Voice.

NOTE: This is a STANDALONE novel in the Sign of Love Series by Mia Sheridan and can be read without having read the others, although I would recommend them all to you.
