“Here’s a fact. Hating someone is exhausting”
Oh my gosh guys! I cannot even begin to tell you how much fun this book was to read. **Eeeeekkkkk**. I Seriously can’t wipe the ridiculous smile of my face. It was FUN and SWEET and FUNNY and SEXY and OH SO HOT. This author has an AMAZING style of writing, adding The Hating Game to the top of my ‘read’ list for 2016! I highly recommend this for you guys who love a workplace comedy. It’s seriously a perfect weekend read. 5 stars!
“Nemesis (n.) 1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome.
2) A person’s undoing
3) Joshua Templeman”
What an incredible ride! This book, from start to finish, had me smiling crazy, laughing out loud and rooting for these two characters the entire time. The sexual tension was palpable! I was hanging on the edge of my seat, screaming at my kindle hoping “now” would be the time they got together. But Sally Thorne, in her brilliantly written story, kept me hanging. And it was soooo sweet.
“Both love and hate are mirror versions of the same game – and you have to win. Why? Your heart and your ego. Trust me, I should know.”
I love these kinds of love stories where the characters are literally in each other pockets day in and day out and making life difficult for each other. It creates a different kind of tension. No one’s really chasing the other but their game to try and one-up the other is hilarious to watch unfold.
The Hating Game had beautiful moments mixed in with extremely well written humour and a love story that secured a place in my heart for a lifetime. This will go down as one of my favourite books of 2016. It was absolutely amazing and I love, love, loved it! Sally Thorne has quickly become one of my favourite authors and I will most definitely be turning up the stalking game until her next release.
